| Sunday
Services |
|
| Whether you'd
describe yourself as just looking or a committed
Christian, we'd love you to join us as we gather
to worship God together. We want all of our
services to be relaxed, friendly and welcoming.
You don't have to be a member, know what to do,
dress up or have silent children - just come! |
| We have two
different styles of service on Sundays at Christ
Church, each of about 70 minutes, with
refreshments served in between... |
| |
9am Formal Service -
hymns, more structured, quieter
Although still relaxed, this service has a
more familiar Church of England (Common Worship)
pattern to it. We sing hymns together, hear a
sermon and most weeks we share in Holy Communion. |
| |
11am Informal Service
- band, children's groups, more relaxed
This service is more contemporary and informal
with music led by a band. Every week there are
activities for children and young people.
Sometimes we all meet together, at other times we
meet in our age groups (Kids
for God, Pro-Teens,
adults). Come 15 minutes early for refreshments
in the hall and to find out what's going on. |
| |
| Coffee and doughnuts (and healthy alternatives!) are served between
the services (10.15-11am) in the church hall.
Please do stay on after the 9am or come early for
the 11am to have a drink, use the facilities and
have a chat. |
| |
| If you have mobility
problems or a pram please don't be put
off by the steps! Access to the hall is flat and
we have a ramp up into the church. Just ask and
somebody will help you. |
| |
| Young Children
are always welcome even if they make a noise when
others don't! You can choose to keep them with
you, use the crèche, or use a quiet room at the
back of the church. |
| We also have monthly services
midweek at Christ Church(especially for those who
struggle to make it on a Sunday) and at Oakhanger. |
| |
| The weekly theme is the same
for both Sunday services and generally the same
speaker... |

| Midweek Services |
| Coffee &
Communion 10.30am Third Thursday of Each Month |
| |
| We have a shorter
communion service in the relaxed setting of the
church hall once a month, followed by cake in the
lounge. All are welcome, and especially those who
find it difficult to get to a Sunday service for
whatever reason. Maybe you haven't been able to
get to church for some years, or maybe something
has made it difficult more recently. Or, perhaps,
you do make it on Sundays and would like to meet
and welcome those who can't. Whether young or
old, we'd love to see you. You'll be warmly
welcomed. |
| |
| The hall has parking
outside, flat access and disabled toilets. Some
people make their own transport arrangements, but
lifts can be arranged if you need one - do give
the office a ring on 872291. |
| |
| This is a great way to
get out, worship God and meet with other
Christians, whatever tradition you come from. The
cakes are good too... if not the vicar's jokes! |
| |
| We meet on the Third
Thursday of every month. We'd love to see you! |
| |
| Dennis Round Court (Second Tuesday
of Each Month) |
| |
| We hold a short service
at Dennis Round Court monthly in the lounge
there. |
